Day 20.

We got up and had breakfast. I turned on a story for them which Sandy has not seen (Bolt) but enjoyed very much. (A cute story of a dog). While they were watching I could clean the kitchen a little and prepare some important documents that I had to post today. We had fish fingers with rice for lunch and it was funny because Benett loved the fish fingers more and Sandy liked the rice more so in the end they swapped so Benett could have more fish and Sandy could have more rice. :D

After lunch we went to the post office, then to decathlon. I wanted to get ssnddls for the boys but I knew what I wanted and I knew where they were so it would've taken like 5 minutes but Miron took Eliot's flip-flops and put them somewhere where we didn't find them for half an hour!!! I ended up buying a new pair of flip-flops for him because he couldn't come bare feet... :D (the other pair was two days old...) 

Then we went over to a friend's house where the kids had so much fun with the toys we don't have. :) we had some snack and went outside. The boys were running around and picking raspberries when I realized what time it was. We had 7 minutes to get to the hairdresser... Of course we were late but my husband went first so there was no delay. :) 

We came home, had dinner and did the evening routine. 

Day 17.

It was another day for a cookout. There's a market in the nearby town every Sunday where there are fresh fruits and vegetables. I went there with Miron, bought some fresh stuff and bought 'lángos' for breakfast for the boys. They enjoyed it, it was still hot when we got home with it. After breakfast I put the peaches away for winter while the boys were playing with Peter. After lunch some of his old schoolmates came and we had a cookout again. The boys played with the new toys from yesterday and Benett and Sandy figured they would make superhero accessories for themselves. :D when it was time to have dinner and stuff they didn't want to finish the game. :)

Day 14.

We slept until 9.00!! What a morning! :) The weather was very cool after yesterday's storm. It was a little weird for the boys, too as they were used to the hot temperatures and swimming all day... Sonwe got dressed and walked to the shop to get breakfast. Sandy asked menwhy do we always go to the shop and I told him that we like to eat fresh food, so this way we can eat the freshest bread, and the coldcuts are fresh, too... :)  We sat in the car at around 12.00 and I made Sandy's day. Since the first day he has been telling us that he would like to eat Chinese food. So we went to a Chinese restaurant, ordered some meals to go and went to my aunt's house. We had lunch there. After that the boys were in the garden picking raspberries and blackberries. Always something fresh in that garden. :) 

In the afternoon I took them to the playground where we met Peter and e played with them while I had some business. After we got home it was the evening routine.

Day 15.

We got up at around 8.00 and had breakfast. I started to clean the house for tomorrow's party and the boys were wathing a movie while I was busy cleaning. When I was done we had hot-dogs for lunch (made the boys happy) :) then headed for one of my aunts' house. There is a playground and a football pitch as well and Benett and Sandy took their RC cars so that they could play with them on the asphalt in the football pitch. On the way home we went to decathlon, they rode bikes and scooters, played with balls... Then we went to Lidl what made Sandy very happy as he could get something he really likes. :D he had two favorites so he got them for dinner. One happy boy! We came home, had dinner and quickly went to bed.

Day 16.

It was Eliot's birthday party today so in the morning it was mainly preparation for the guests. The first ones arrived around noon so we had lunch with them then everybody else came. All the kids were mostly playing outside. We grilled some meat, cooked corn in a couldron and also grilled some, had salad, cookies and of course the cake (which Sandy didn't take) :D all the boys got some presents and they were all happy with them. :) it was a late evening... :)

Day 12.

It was a very quiet day as Eliot was not feeling well. He had a stomach bug the night before and he was so tired all day that he didn't even get up. So we stayed inside in the morning, watching a movie then after lunch went outside for a swim and Sandy played some football with Benett. Eliot came out with us, he was sleeping in the shade. When Peter got home we grilled some chicken and had dinner outside. It was an extremely slow paced day. But I guess nobody minded.

Day 13.

Nothing special happened today. It was the hottest day in the summer so far so we tried to stay cool. We had to go to the post office in the morning then to the mayor's office but to my surprise we were done in 10 minutes with both. We bought a big watermelon for the boys to eat and we went to Spar to buy some food for lunch. When we got home I told the boys to get changed and get in the water. While they were having fun I cleaned the carpet that I do every summer when it's hot and it can dry in the sun. :)
We had lunch then they watched a movie, I tried to keep them inside in the biggest heat. In the afternoon we spent most of the time in or around the pool again before the storm came. Fortunately it wasn't really bad here. There was strong wind then it rained but nothing compared to what we see in other parts of Budapest. I didn't risk taking the boys for my evening run as they were saying another storm was coming. So I went only with my friend and the boys had a picnic on the terrace in the cooled off weather. :D While I was gone they all took a shower so when I got back I just made them a smoothie that I promised and put them in bed. :)

Day 11.

We got up at 8.00 again. We had breakfast then went in the garden. I cleaned both the small and the big pool and the boys were running around. They went in the small pool first and enjoyed it a lot. We had lunch then the boys went to the fish store to get some food for the fish and they also got some batteries as we promised Sandy and Benett that they could race with their RC cars in the street later in the afternoon. It was still very hot and because the big pool was clean they all jumped in and swam for a long time. :) Then we all went out in the street and the boys could play with their new cars. Then we prepared for dinner, ate, and did all the evening stuff. After story time they all fell asleep and I went for a run this time without the kids. :)

Day 10.

We got up at 8.00 and packed our suitcases because we had to leave the rooms right after breakfast. We ate and put everything in the car. We had a last meeting from 10.00 till lunch. We said goodbyes and had lunch and said more goodbyes... It wasn't easy to part from all the family members that we might not meet again because of their old age. The whole weekend was a blessing.
After lunch we went to Balaton again and spent the rest of the day on the beach with some of my closer family members. The kids were in the water basically all afternoon, they came out to eat but that was it. :) At 7.00 we started to get ready and went to have dinner in a restaurant together (35 of us). We wanted to leave late evening to avoid the traffic jam as there was a national sports event at the weekend and also the weather was extremely hot so a lot of people came to Balaton. So we left at around 9.30. All the boys fell asleep in the car (as we expected) so when we got home we just put them in bed and they all slept.

Day 9.

Woke up at 7.30, breakfast started at 8.00 so we left as soon as we could. After breakfast the descendants of the 13  siblings 'quickly' shared what has happened to their side of the family in the past 4 years, then we took a family photograph. Hundreds of people. :D after lunch we went to the beach again, the kids swam a lot. We went for another ice-cream whicgh Sandy was not happy about but oh well, we love ice-cream. :D he got some salty snack again. :)

We went back to the beach for another short while then headed back to the hotel for dinner. We all had a shower as soon as we got back because I had the feeling we would have a long night. Dinner was very good again, then we looked at the family tree (24 meters long) and went to the assembly point where the kids talent show started. Everybody who participated got some BADU ((BAlog-DUrko family and it's the currency at the reuinions). After the talent show was over there were tons of presents they could buy with their BADUs. Sandy really wanted one thing: a black RC car. He bid at the auction, we completed his BADUs a little and he got the car he wanted! :D he was so happy!! :) My kids all got what they wanted, too so it was a successful evening! It got very late by the time it finished so we quickly came back, got changed and put the kids to bed. :)

Day 8.

We woke the kids in the morning and because we had packed everything the night before we were ready to start. We left the house at 8.50, went to Pecel to meet some family so we didn't have to come by two cars. We areived at the hotel at around 11. We walked to the bea ch, swam, had lunch and came back for registration for my family reunion. This time 300 people came and we are going to spend 3 days together. We went for an ice-cream (Sandy got some salty snack) and came back for dinner. Paprika chicken, yummy. :) after dinner we had a gettogether, sang the family anthem and the elders shared some precious memories. Out of the 13 children (one of which was my grandmother) 6 are alive and they were sharing stories. The people here are the descendants of these 13 siblings. 

In the evening the kids had a quick shower and went to bed really exhausted. :D

Day 7.

Sandy woke up at 4.00 am and I had a hard time convincing him to go back to sleep. Finally I managed so well that he slept till 9.00. :D we got up, had breakfast and went to finish the documents we were trying to get this week. After we got what we needed we went to Pecel. The boys were in the garden and they enjoyed the hot weather and were running under the sprinklers with their t-shirts off. :) we had a delicious lunch for Eliot's birthday. We went to the carwash to get the car ready for tomorrow's trip, to the post office to pay the bills, to buy some snacks for Peter and we went to Peter's workplace. From there we headed for the playhouse. :) it was really empty compared to the usual crowd, but it was perfect for us. Two hours of jumping, running around and getting exhausted. After they closed we went to Burger King to have dinner with the kids then straight home. A quick shower and bedtime. :)

Day 6.

We got up in the morning, around 7.00 had breakfast, tidied the house a little and a friend came over with 2 of her kids. We made pizza for lunch, it was great success. :) After lunch we filled the small pool and put some warm water in as the big one is way too cold. The kids enjoyed it for hours. When the guests left, we got ready for leaving for my doctor's appointment. I got a call last minute that we would have to go 2,5 hours later so we met Peter in Árkád and we went shopping. Sandy wanted to eat cornflakes for breakfast, so we went to Interspar, and he picked what he liked. We also got some milk because we drink organic, and he doesn't like that. :D When we got home it was getting late so we only had time for dinner and the evening routine. Another fun day. :)
